Job description

Job Summary: To perform a variety of cleaning and related duties as needed and as assigned in the Sterile Processing Department. This includes, but is not limited to, moving light furniture, equipment and supplies in all work areas. Hours of work will vary between 9am and 11pm, occasional weekend on call rotation required.
Qualifications: Must be actively enrolled in a formal High School or College level academic program, preferably with a focus in a healthcare related field, and/or actively enrolled/completed formal Sterile Processing Certification Training Program ("Central Sterile" or "Certified Sterile Processing Technician") and eligible to take the CRCST/CBSPD exam. Must be a minimum of 18 years old. No prior work experience required. Must be able to read, understand and follow instructions and must be able to follow specific documented procedures. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to deal tactfully with co-workers, public and other hospital personnel.
