Job description

Mpowerd is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering single mothers by providing resources, support, and community. In support of our mental wellness pillar, we are launching a mental wellness initiative that offers professional therapy/counseling resources and monthly in-person activities to help single moms manage stress and build resilience. The program is based in Cobb County, GA and will run from October 2025 through August 2026.

We’re looking for a Volunteer Program Manager with 1–3 years of program management experience to help us run and grow this mental wellness initiative. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about single moms or mental health, comfortable taking the lead, and ready to dedicate about 10 hours a month to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the operations of the mental wellness initiative, ensuring smooth execution of activities and events.
  • Guide the volunteer team in coordinating monthly activities with program partners
  • Maintain program documentation and track volunteer involvement using tools like Microsoft Word.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to identify and implement improvements for program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in program management or a related field.
  • Experience or strong interest in supporting single moms and/or mental health wellness.
