Job description

Chicago Fittings Corp. is a major manufacturer of natural gas, propane, and specialty industrial fittings. SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS-We will Train

  • Able to operate multiple machines within a work center.
  • Collection and data entry of production tracking into company computers.
  • Adds coolant to reservoirs and lubricates machine parts as needed.
  • Inspect and/or Test completed products.
  • Cleaning/De-burring of product.
  • Operation of forklift.
  • Packaging product.
  • Other machine operations.
  • Maintain and clean, organized, and safe workspace.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to read blueprints for product specifications.
  • Use calipers and other tools.
  • General machine operation.
  • General inspection practices.
  • General quality systems.
  • Visual inspection.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Comprehend, communicate, follow, and instruct oral and written instructions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Prefer 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for inspecting their product; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, solve simple equations and calculate percentages. Ability to convert fractions in increments of 1/16 and convert to decimal number.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
