Job description

Leads assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in guest, volunteer, and/or retail services. Responsibilities: Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates. | Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff. | Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures.| Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.| Assists the leadership in developing annual goals & objectives for the department. 

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of experience OR 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of experience can be used in lieu of education, if applicable.
  • Experience: - 2-3 years of previous leadership preferred - 2-3 years of Customer Services experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with Volunteer Services 
  • Strong computer experience working with PeopleSoft system and google applications (Google Docs, Google sheets, Google slides) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to be flexible to travel between 3 hospital locations (based on needs) for retreats and meetings.
  • Ability to travel to Oakland University to recruit and build volunteer program.
