Volunteer Opportunity: Guest Services Volunteers – Vision Beyond Sight Fashion Experience

Active Blind Community is seeking friendly, dependable volunteers to serve as Guest Services Volunteers during the Vision Beyond Sight: A Four Seasons Fashion Experience on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan.

Guest Services Volunteers help create a welcoming, organized, and accessible experience for attendees from the moment they arrive until the conclusion of the event.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Welcome and assist guests upon arrival.

Help with event check-in and registration.

Escort guests to their assigned tables and assist with wayfinding throughout the venue.

Provide directions to restrooms and other event areas.

Assist with an interactive event feature during the evening.

Answer general questions and help guests have a positive experience.

Provide general event support wherever assistance is needed.

Volunteer Commitment

Date: Thursday, October 22, 2026

Volunteers should be available from approximately 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Qualifications

Friendly, professional, and dependable.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.

Able to work well with a team in a fast-paced event environment.

Willing to assist guests of all ages and abilities.

Dress Code

Professional all-black attire (business casual is recommended) with comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for standing and walking throughout the event.
