Job description

Under supervision from the clinical care team, provides care coordination for patients as they move into and through the care continuum. Primary responsibilities includes ensuring accurate, timely processing of insurance verifications, patient registration, timely notification of payor to ensure maximum reimbursement, facilitating benefit coverage for continuum of care needs, ensuring the flow of information to continuum care providers, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

  1. Must possess excellent spelling and grammar skills.
  2. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Works in the department as needed in designated areas.
  4. Ability to handle stressful situations with physicians and ancillary departments.
  5. Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of organizational skills.
  6. Must have experience working with computers and computer software/applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Clinical and patient care experience.
  2. Associates degree or higher degree preferred.
  3. Previous insurance background preferred.
  4. Previous experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.00 to $31.36. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
