Job description


Located in Kailua, Adventist Health Castle has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1963. Job Summary:
Ensures appropriate staffing of the nursing units on a daily basis. Looks ahead to fill vacant shifts with internal staff and external supplemental staffing agencies. Inputs accurate census, acuity and staffing data into the scheduling system to generate daily reports, and performs clerical, reception and general office duties. Creates a culture of sensitivity to nurses' needs while filling the patient care bases. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Essential Functions:
  • Creates, maintains and updates daily staffing sheets, as well as updating the “working- master schedules on a daily basis. Coordinates with bed control to ensure required assignments are staffed.
  • Maintains and updates employee contact information for designated areas. Maintains staff qualifications list.
  • Maintains attendance records, on-call and float lists. Processes leave requests. Inputs data into payroll system.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
