Our client, a well-established and growing pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Chargeback & Rebates Analyst to join their revenue accounting and commercial operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, accounting, and pharmaceutical contracting while supporting critical financial processes that directly impact revenue, profitability, and customer relationships.

As the Chargeback & Rebates Analyst, you will play a key role in the administration, analysis, validation, and reconciliation of customer chargebacks, rebates, and pricing programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with large data sets, identifying discrepancies, solving problems, and partnering across multiple departments.


Responsibilities

As the Chargeback & Rebates Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing, validating, and processing pharmaceutical chargeback claims submitted by wholesalers and distributors
  • Analyzing rebate submissions and ensuring compliance with customer and contract pricing agreements
  • Investigating and resolving chargeback discrepancies, deductions, and pricing variances
  • Reconciling chargeback and rebate activity to the general ledger and supporting account balances
  • Preparing reports and analyses related to chargeback, rebate, and contract performance
  • Collaborating with Finance, Accounting, Sales, Contracts, and Customer Service teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual accrual calculations and account reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end close activities and internal reporting requirements
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting audit requests
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, automate processes, and enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in chargebacks, rebates, contracts administration, revenue accounting, accounts receivable, finance, or a related analytical role
  • Pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, or distribution industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions
  • Experience with ERP systems, chargeback management systems, or financial reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner across multiple departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
