Position: Cisco Voice Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description:

As a Voice Engineer is responsible for the design, support and maintenance of the Client telephony systems. This highly visible position requires senior level experience working with Cisco Call Center Manger experience and CUCM of technologies and services. The engineer must be well versed with call routing / treatment within a fast paced environment with over 100+ call agents. The engineer will be responsible for system monitoring, system administration, system backups, fine-tuning, troubleshooting, upgrading, system controls, and documentation of ATI telephony systems.

Required Skills:

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade telephony technologies (includes non-Cisco IP solutions).
  • Work closely with business users and other technical teams to build solutions for the ATI Call Center environment. Communicate directly with customers.
  • Primary technologist assigned to oversee all voice related services for acquisition and new growth sites.
  • Provide technical leadership for the design and support of voice and related technologies.
  • Gather business requirements for technology solutions.
  • Manage telephony projects including solutions and supporting documentation.
  • Work with other technical teams to develop cost-effective, operationally supportable solutions that assist multiple technologies or meet complex requirements.
  • Assess technical problems to develop, appraise, and recommend solutions.
  • Support vendor/contract negotiations for pricing, terms and conditions, and technical requirements for large scale, strategic projects.
  • Test and evaluate new technologies to solve business requirements and enable strategic business initiatives.
  • Develop project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth including alternative considerations.
  • Conduct training programs designed to educate the organization's computer users about basic and specialized applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and manage vendors in troubleshooting situations.

Must skills:

  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in information technology & voice engineering preferably within large, complex, multi-site environments with a corporate call center.
  • Must have experience with Cisco Telephony products
  • Experience with CISCO Call Center Manager
  • Experience with Migration Avaya to Cisco Telecom systems
  • Experience with to install Skype as phone
  • Experience configuring troubleshooting SIP Gateways and CUBE
  • Experience configuring dial peers and creating dial plans
  • CCNP Certification required
