To thrive as a VMware Engineer in a remote setting, you need expertise in virtualization technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and typically a degree in computer science or related field, along with VMware certifications such as VCP (VMware Certified Professional). Familiarity with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related monitoring or automation tools is essential. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and self-motivation help remote engineers collaborate effectively and manage tasks independently.
