Job description

About VMG Studios
VMG Studios is a creative production partner for enterprise brands, turning strategy into high-quality creative execution across video, animation, and design. We work with teams that care about craft, speed, and results.

The Opportunity
This is not a traditional “Business Development Manager” role—and it’s not a high-volume outbound job. We’re building a Fortune 1000 Connector lane: someone with credible, current enterprise relationships who can open the right doors and create qualified momentum. VMG runs discovery, scoping, pricing, and close. You get paid for generating qualified lead meetings, and outcomes. If you’re great at activating relationships and getting the right people to say “yes, let’s talk,” you’ll thrive here.

What you will own
If you’ve built a strong professional network over the years—and you’re in a career phase where you want flexible, performance-based income—this is a way to leverage relationships you already have. Your job is simple: open the right doors and get the right conversations started. VMG handles everything after that.

  • Identify and prioritize intro’s to qualified target accounts (people → teams → budget owners)
  • Make warm introductions (or tee them up with context and positioning)
  • Get qualified meetings held with the right stakeholders
  • Provide clean handoff context: why this person, why now, what they care about
  • We provide you with our agency narrative/capabilities, a deck/one-pager, a reel, and the enablement you need to confidently make warm intros.

What you will not own
  • Full-cycle selling: discovery, scoping, pricing, proposals, negotiation
  • Long-cycle account or project management
  • Closing (unless we mutually expand scope later based on role)

What Success Looks Like (30-day rhythm)
  • 5–8 qualified warm introductions per month into target accounts.
  • 2–4 qualified meetings held per month this is what you’re paid on).
  • Clear handoff notes so the VMG team can take over and move fast.
Warm Introduction (definition):
A warm intro is when you personally connect VMG to someone you have an existing relationship with (past colleague, partner, client, or trusted contact) and you make the introduction directly—by email/LinkedIn/message—with context on why it’s relevant.
Compensation (Incentive-Based)
OPTION: This is an independent contractor role with performance-based earnings (not a salary role). You’ll be compensated for qualified meetings held and additional success-based incentives for closed work you originate. Full details are shared with candidates who move forward in the application process.

Payment timing
Success fees are paid after the contract is signed and the first client payment is received.

Who We’re Looking For
This role is for people who already sit near enterprise decision-makers and know how to activate relationships.

Must-haves
  • A credible, current network in Fortune 1000 / mid-enterprise environments
  • Clear ability to explain your relationship activation approach (cadence, messaging, follow-up)
  • Comfort with transparency, measurement, and outcome-based incentives
  • Professionalism and discretion with enterprise stakeholders
  • You understand where the budget lives (product marketing, brand, marketing ops, comms, HR/L&D, events, etc.)
  • You have a repeatable way to move from “I know someone” → “meeting on the calendar”

Ideal backgrounds
  • Current/former Fortune 1000 product marketing, brand/integrated marketing, comms, HR/L&D enablement, events
  • People who have influenced buying decisions and can create warm paths into budget owners
