Surrounded by vineyards, Michelin-star restaurants and exquisite views in Yountville, our 22-acre haven sits among one the most coveted viticulture regions in the world. We invite our guests to immerse themselves in a redesigned Wine Country experience in a delightfully vino-cultured manner: two luxury hotels with decidedly different personalities – the vibrant Hotel Villagio and its sophisticated counterpart, Vintage House, a chic and tranquil sanctuary. A combined room-count of nearly 200 rooms and suites allows us to create a memorable experience for any occasion! 

JOB SUMMARY: 

 

The Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional massage and body treatments in accordance with The Spa at Estate Yountville’s service standards.

Reporting to the Lead Massage Therapist and Spa Supervisor, with oversight from the Spa Director, this role provides personalized treatments, supports retail performance, and maintains treatment room standards to ensure a consistent and elevated guest experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Perform all massage and body treatments in accordance with the Spa Treatment Menu and Massage Therapist Protocol Manual.
  • Customize treatments based on guest needs, health considerations, contraindications, and feedback.
  • Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic massage techniques.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality treatments aligned with luxury spa standards.
  • Conduct thorough guest consultations and maintain accurate treatment documentation.
  • Recommend appropriate enhancements, home care products, and follow-up services.
  • Adhere to scheduled treatment times and professional shift standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of treatment rooms in accordance with state regulations.
  • Properly disinfect tools and equipment following all sanitation requirements.
  • Restock treatment rooms and notify leadership of inventory needs.
  • Support retail operations by maintaining product knowledge and meeting established performance goals.
  • Attend scheduled trainings and participate in ongoing education.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate service recovery needs to leadership when appropriate.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support spa operations.

 

SERVICE STANDARDS 

  • Uphold Estate Yountville’s luxury service standards and Forbes expectations in all guest interactions.
  • Deliver personalized service with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Maintain consistent treatment flow, draping standards, consultation protocols, and closing procedures.
  • Ensure daily treatment room readiness, including sanitation, lighting, equipment functionality, and overall presentation
  • Support performance standards including rebooking, enhancement capture, and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Foster a respectful and cooperative team environment aligned with Estate values.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active and current Massage Therapy License in good standing.
  • Completion of state-required massage therapy training hours
  • Previous spa or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications, and therapeutic massage techniques.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
