Seasonal Viticulture Technician

The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America's premier luxury wine company. We were established in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn. Today, our portfolio features some of North America's most revered wineries, including Decoy, Goldeneye, Calera, Kosta Browne, Sonoma Cutrer, and Greenwing.

The Seasonal Viticulture Technician is responsible for collecting vineyard data for crop estimation, grape maturity sampling & processing, and vineyard scouting in The Duckhorn Portfolio Estate vineyards in Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.

What we will ask you to do:

  • Collect vineyard data – Cluster counting and cluster weights
  • Conduct field scouting for pests and disease
  • Sample grapes for maturity testing
  • Process juice and measure Brix
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Understand and follow all safety protocols as outlined in the company IIPP and as required by OSHA.

What you will need:

  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying climatic conditions and uneven terrain.
  • Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and good communication skill.
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods of time and remain on task.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license and clean DMV record
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs., ability to perform physical labor
