Job description

SECURITY GUARD (POOL)

The Security Guard position is a pooled position, and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis. As a Classified Part-Time Security Guard, you will be responsible for security functions. This is primarily an on-call position that may on occasion and under the circumstances include a set schedule. This position is expected to assist with shift coverage during national holidays, school closures, or to fill in for full time officer vacations or illnesses. Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED. Preference for candidates with college course work or degrees.
  • One year experience in a security, police, or military capacity or security experience and basic knowledge of contemporary security and property protection techniques and methodologies.
  • Must possess valid Oregon driver's license, which is required to operate college vehicles and be covered under college insurance.

Required Training:

  • Most possess or be able to obtain first aid, blood borne pathogen, AED, and heart-saving training within 90 days of employment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain DPSST unarmed security officer security certificate within 30 days of hire date.
