Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to join our team. As a Store Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing displays that attract and engage customers on showroom floors according to marketing, merchandising, and advertising plans. A Visual Merchandiser will also be responsible for developing merchandising goals designed to increase sales and improve store aesthetics


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the flow of furniture and accessory products to the sales floor. Set up and display in accordance with direction from the corporate merchandising team.
  • Executes floor set changes including new and discontinued items.
  • Monitor the quality of showroom goods and correct or initiate replacement of substandard floor samples.
  • Train store teams and develop team members' understanding of visual merchandising, merchandising, and current trends.
  • Monitor consistency and execution of visual display directives, signage, and merchandising standards.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This position operates in a retail store and warehouse environment.

Requirements:

Physical Demands:

  • The employee will regularly be standing, walking, lifting, and bending. Frequently lifts at least fifty (50) pounds. moves furniture and accessories and climbs ladders.

Qualifications needed to perform this position:

  • Associate’s degree in Art, Interior Design, Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least two years of merchandising, interior design experience, or related experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with lead teams of varying job functions.
  • Ability to work diligently with little supervision.
  • Demonstrates creativity and understanding of advanced merchandising techniques.
  • Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability; flexible to shifting priorities and a changing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of retail business strategies.
  • While performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job, the associate’s work varies between retail store and warehouse environments.

  • This is a full-time position, working a varying schedule to support the needs of the business.
