Job description

We are on the lookout for a Director of Visual Presentation. The perfect candidate will lead the creative and strategic direction of all in-store visual presentation across Buck Mason's existing and new retail locations. This role is responsible for translating the brand's design and merchandising concepts into compelling, cohesive retail experiences that drive engagement, storytelling, and sales. The ideal candidate is both a creative visionary and a hands-on leader who understands how to balance creativity with operational execution.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive visual merchandising strategy aligned with brand identity and business goals on a seasonal and monthly basis
  • Collaborate between design, merchandising, and retail teams to effectively communicate vision from concept through customer experience
  • Lead the design and development of effective fixtures and furnishings for new store builds
  • Create and maintain visual standards, guidelines, and training materials for retail teams
  • Partner cross-functionally with retail, marketing, product, and creative teams to ensure consistency across all touch-points
  • Oversee new store openings, remodels, and special retail projects from concept through execution
  • Analyze store performance and customer behavior to refine merchandising strategies
  • Manage and train a team of visual merchandisers and freelancers
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure visual standards are upheld and identify opportunities for improvement

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in brand guidelines, visual merchandising, new store opening, and team management
  • High taste demonstrating storytelling, styling, and spatial design
  • Excellent understanding of American vintage and contemporary apparel
  • Excellent communicator of brand concept, merchandising ideas, and visual standards
