Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is looking for a Sales Manager!
Location: 1000 Cranberry Square Dr. Cranberry Township, PA
Job Type: Full time - Non-Exempt/Hourly
Training Rate: $18 / hour - $22 / hour during 3 months of training
Post Training Rate: Continuous base pay of $14.00 / hour, PLUS percentage of Store Sales, PLUS personal commissions!

What You Will Do
  • Act as the MOD (Manager on Duty) in absence of the Store Manager.
  • Schedule and administer the training of new sales associates per the New Associate Manual.
  • Bring excitement to your training sessions whether weekend meetings or new associate training.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate all critical metrics and expectations within the store including but not limited to sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, inventory management, human resources, payroll/scheduling and training.
  • Know the Numbers! You will audit the undelivered sales report to identify opportunities to improve order value, average items per invoice, invoice accuracy, delivered sales and accuracy of accounting.
  • Under the direction of the Store Manager, lead the sales growth and profitability of your store through the results of your team and your personal sales.
  • Own the customer resolution process for customers and the sales team always focused on timely solutions. Provide exceptional customer care in a manner that models a positive attitude and enthusiasm for our furniture assortment and services.
  • Recruit, train and coach Sales Associates and Store Support Associates as directed by your Store Manager and your own professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager, Visual and Warehouse Manager to plan and support the weekly merchandising efforts, customer delivery and pick-up processes, warehouse and bookkeeping processes.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of company policy and procedure.
  • Develop product expertise.
  • Perform other special projects or duties when assigned.

Who You Are
  • Experienced in commission and performance-based sales environments with a demonstrated success in personal sales, teambuilding and excellence in customer service.
  • An expert listener.
  • A crisp and clear communicator.
  • Ability to and masterful at calming down heated situations (customers and employees)
  • Energized by goal achievement and team play.
  • Have experience and/or passion for interior design is highly appreciated.
  • Capable with a variety of software programs, applications etc. including DOS based, menu driven systems.
  • Practice common sense. Know how to apply it and actively use it.
  • Able to use reasonable and effective decision-making skills in a constantly changing environment.
  • Valid driver's license in a state where the store is located.
  • Able to work a companion of days, evenings and weekends.
  • Schedule includes weekends, some evenings, holiday work, and retail "black-out" periods.
  • Standing and walking most of the day.
  • Some lifting and assisting lifting for floor displays and merchandise settings (30 lbs.).
  • Some bending, kneeling and stopping.
  • Light cleaning, vacuuming, dusting.
  • Working with hand tools for assemblies
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and meetings.
  • Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check and signing a nondisclosure agreement.

Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Management experience in customer service, retail sales, interior design or consulting preferred and not required.
