Creative Director Job Summary:

We are seeking a polished, driven, and innovative Creative Director to lead an internal creative agency for a national consumer services company headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is fully onsite and will require you to relocate to Virginia Beach, VA. Relocation assistance provided.

As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for setting and overseeing the creative vision of projects and brand campaigns across various media such as digital, print, advertising, and more. You will lead and inspire a creative team, which includes graphic designers, videographers, CGI artists, copywriters, photographers, and other specialists to produce innovative and cohesive visual and strategic content that aligns with business goals.

Creative Director Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the creative vision and strategy for projects or accounts, ensuring consistency and originality in all creative outputs.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor creative teams, fostering a productive environment, develops/coaches the team, and maximizes team talent.
  • Oversee the entire creative process from ideation and brainstorming through to final delivery, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Collaborate closely with executives across the organization and cross-functional departments to align creative work with business objectives and market trends.
  • Review and approve creative materials such as advertisements, branding campaigns, websites, and multimedia content to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Leverage learning to drive continuous improvement in systems and ways of working.
  • In collaboration with internal cross-functional leaders, develop new business pitches that push for innovative and original work.
  • Look to innovate and elevate current creative standards.
  • Ability to find opportunities in the creative processes for better efficiency.
  • Produce, Schedule, and Plan corporate video shoots.

Creative Director Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role working for a B2C, national, and multi-branch/store company is required.
  • 5+ years of personnel management experience required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire teams and interact effectively with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in video principles and experience leading multichannel videography strategies.
  • Experience leading 3D, CGI and Motion Graphics projects.
  • Skills with Adobe CC - Premiere, Lightroom, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Experience in digital asset management software (e.g., Brandfolder, Openreel, Asana, etc.).
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with business acumen, including budget management and strategic planning.
  • Experience driving multiple creative efforts simultaneously.
  • Experience in fast-paced work environment with rapidly changing priorities and needs.
  • Expertise in design principles, brand development, and multichannel marketing strategies.
  • Experience driving successful creative marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in creative efforts for Recruiting and internal culture building.
  • Experience in mentoring and career development for creative professionals.
