Team Introduction: We are the Monetization Data Foundation team, sitting within TikTok's Global Monetization Product & Technology (GMPT) organization. We empower business and product teams with scalable data infrastructure, tools, and insights to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. Our mission is to build a robust, data-driven foundation that enables smarter decision-making across TikTok's global monetization ecosystem. By collaborating closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams, we deliver innovative solutions that turn raw data into actionable intelligence. We are seeking a Data Product Manager Project Intern to support the development and scaling of data-driven products within TikTok's Monetization organization. In this role, you will define the vision, strategy, and execution of data products that empower business teams with actionable insights and scalable solutions. You will act as a bridge between data, engineering, and business stakeholders, ensuring our data infrastructure and tools meet the needs of a fast-growing global business. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how data drives decision-making across TikTok's monetization ecosystem. Project Intern: As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 6 months long internship period. Responsibilities: - Participate in building the data foundation and standardization system for international business. Assist the DPM team in building global data infrastructure, and promote the standardization and large-scale implementation of operational processes, data definition, and indicator systems. - Collaborate with multiple teams to advance data product solutions and support business decisions. Collaborate with sales, strategy, operations, product, and engineering teams to sort out business problems and data requirements, output implementable analytical research and product solutions, and support the optimization of commercialization strategies and improvement of operational efficiency. - Participate in automation and productization to improve global business efficiency based on business process and data insights, assist in designing and implementing automated/tool-based solutions, including datasets, visual reports, and analysis tools, to promote large-scale reuse and efficiency improvement. - Promote data governance and quality management. Assist in building a basic governance system for data field standards, indicator definition alignment, and permissions, to support the stable output and quality monitoring of datasets. - Precipitate methodologies and support cross-regional training with reusable methodologies from various operational analyses and project practices, and provide training and document support for global/regional operational teams to improve overall analytical capabilities and data tool usage skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, with priority given to majors such as Data Science, Statistics, and Business Analysis; - Priority given to candidates with experience using BI tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, etc.) - Able to commit to a full-time, 24 week (6 month) internship, ideally longer Preferred Qualification: - Interested in data products, indicator system construction, and data platform tools, with a certain sense of product awareness and logical thinking ability. - Good communication and collaboration skills, able to support cross-team and cross-timezone communication. - Available to intern for at least 4 days per week, with an internship period of no less than 6 months (long-term interns are preferred). - Relevant internship experience in data products, data analysis, or data operations in technology companies is plus. - Possess solid data processing skills, proficient in using SQL for data querying, cleaning, and analysis; Proficiency in Python/R is a plus.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $35- $55.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
