Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but are not limited to:

1) Interviews and analyzes application information to determine proper options; advises customer of products.
2) Analyzes applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to applicant's evaluation.
3) Analyzes applicant financial status, income, assets, investments, debts, credit and property evaluation to determine options and financial solutions to best meet client’s need.
4) Advises applicant regarding options, advantages and disadvantages of options.
5) Determines loan package and negotiates loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.
6) Approves or denies loans, up to authorized lending limit.
7) Drafts and prepares agreements in a complete and accurate manner.
8) Responsible for closing and funding activities.
9) Identifies and analyzes potential markets to develop prospects for Ag/Commercial loans and deposits.
10) Understands and advises loan manager of external factors that may affect established lending policies such as new or revised legislation and regulations. Recommends and implements appropriate changes to establishment policies and procedures.
11) Serves as a backup for other position(s) and performs other duties, as assigned.
12) Enhances career through work experience and continuing education.
13) Maintains compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
14) Participates and responds to examinations, audits and third party reviews.
15) Complies with the Information Security Program and is accountable for maintaining a high level of risk and security awareness.
16) Establishes a good image for the Bank by being active and visible in the community.
17) Attends meetings as assigned.
18) Develops a working knowledge of the Bank’s products and services through usage and webex attendance to provide quality customer service while building relationships and exceeding
expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associates degree (AA) required; three to five years of related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE 

Above average verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.

MATH

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas as business needs dictate.
