Role Overview:

The Mechanic serves as a skilled maintenance professional responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of landscape equipment, fleet vehicles, trailers, and small engines. Reporting to branch operations leadership, this role plays a critical part in maximizing equipment uptime, supporting field operations, and ensuring safe and efficient fleet performance.

The Mechanic will work closely with operations teams to prioritize repairs, maintain maintenance records, and support the overall reliability of equipment used throughout daily operations. As FullCare continues to grow, this position will help support operational efficiency and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues on landscape equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, skid steers, mowers, sweepers, and other commercial equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections andidentifyequipment deficiencies before failures occur.
• Maintain service schedules and ensure equipment is serviced according tomanufacturerrecommendations.
• Troubleshoot and repair small engines, commercial landscaping equipment, and light-duty vehicles.
• Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, repair logs, and service documentation.
• Order, track, and manage parts inventory to support repair and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and equipment operating procedures.
• Coordinate equipment repairs with branch leadership and field operations teams.
• Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment maintenance and fleet management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, equipment technician, diesel technician, or related field.
• Experiencemaintainingcommercial landscape equipment, fleet vehicles, trailers, and small engines preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs independently.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• CDL preferred but notrequired.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
