Job description

Apple's Camera/ISP Firmware team brings together world-class experts to explore, develop, and ship state of the art technologies for Apple products. As part of the team you would work on core camera/ISP/Camera peripheral technologies, including Apple designed Image signal processing pipeline and HW components, where you will have the chance to define the way that Apple develops, tests and manufactures all of its products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on iOS and VisionPro product family.
Description
You will design and develop features for image sensor, peripheral devices, and latest image processing pipeline on Apple products. Device driver functionality will include controlling camera peripherals such as image sensors, voice-coil motors (VCMs), lens actuators, LED strobes and power management units (PMUs). You will also have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with Sensor Hardware, Silicon Design, Machine Learning Algorithm teams to shape the roadmap for future Apple products.
This is a highly multi-functional product development role and you will work closely with various teams, like Silicon Design, EE, and System/Controls team.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with image sensors, image processing techniques, and camera pipelines.
Familiarity with digital signal processing
Knowledge of auto-focus systems and optical image stabilization technologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to adapt and excel in a fast paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
Proficiency in programming, debugging, and designing within multi-threaded RTOS environments.
Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
Experience developing software for device drivers, including peripherals and controllers such as I2C, SPI, GPIOs, MIPI, and DMA.
Experience developing software for sensing and actuator devices
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on efficient and reliable solutions.
Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality production-level software.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
