Media, Graphics & Compute Technologies (MGC) provides the media and graphics foundation across all of Apple’s innovative products, including Mac, iPod, TV, iPhone, iPad, Watch, VisionPro, and also Apple Intelligence. Developing groundbreaking software techniques, MGC takes the media experience to the next level. We are looking for a hardworking software quality engineer with a strong technical background and understanding of different network topologies, video, and audio technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and conducting performance tests and building automated testing for the aforementioned features on all Apple supported platforms. Work and chip in towards quality engineering / QA of real-time communication technologies in MGC at Apple and build test automation to qualify audio and video quality in complex scenarios emulating real-world network traffic types. The Media Conferencing QE team provides the networking and media frameworks for FaceTime, Group FaceTime, HomeKit IP Cameras, Sidecar, Screen Sharing, iPhone Mirroring, and much more.
Description
You will work very closely with the Real-time communications development and multi-functional teams to ensure quality is of the highest level. You will also be creating & tracking high-quality bug reports, triaging issues by closely working with developers, and reporting on project progress & risk analysis. Testing will be comprised of determining details about the complex product/feature, coming up with a testing matrix, putting the testing matrix into an executable test plan. As part of the role, you will be working with many different multi-functional teams, establishing relationships across teams, finding holes in overall test strategy. In addition, part of your testing may also require you to implement testing manually with the end goal of automating that testing. Collaboration and automated testing will be key to this role’s success. In addition to writing and maintaining a set of tests, you will also be responsible for driving fixes of many other critical performance tests run by multi-functional technology teams.","responsibilities":"Own execution, compilation of results, filing and reporting of issues to engineering and leadership for assigned set of features and technologies.

Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like MongoDB and Tableau
CI/CD, containerization
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science
Proficiency in one or more computing languages like Python, Java or C/C++
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $118,000 and $207,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
