Job description

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking an exceptional Construction Observation & Testing Project Manager (COT PM) to join our dynamic team in Laurel, MD. As a COT PM, you'll take charge of supervising Construction Field Technicians in the field, conducting crucial observations and testing related to Special Inspections during site work and building construction. Your role will involve compiling comprehensive reports and overseeing field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and structural steel. Collaborating closely with technical experts, you'll coordinate personnel and equipment while liaising with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and management entities to address challenges swiftly and ensure project requirements are meticulously fulfilled. Responsibilities
  • Supervise Construction Field Technicians in the field.
  • Conduct observations and testing related to special inspections during site work and building construction.
  • Compile comprehensive project reports.
  • Oversee field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and structural steel.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to support project execution.
  • Coordinate personnel and equipment across project activities.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and management entities to address challenges and ensure project requirements are fulfilled.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of construction observation and testing (COT) experience
  • WACEL, NICET, ICC, and ACI certifications are a plus
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and structural steel testing, including special inspections during site work and building construction
  • Experience coordinating field and laboratory testing operations is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; a good driving record is a plus
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; visa sponsorship is not available
  • Able to work on-site
