Job description

(GTA) is looking for experiencedย Geotechnical Engineering Techniciansย for work in the Odessa/Midland, Texas area. Responsibilities include construction materials testing of soil, concrete, and other materials.

GTA is a well-respected geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting firm, serving clients across the civil engineering and environmental consulting space. We support projects that depend on accurate field data, dependable testing, and practical technical insight.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork and wants to contribute to projects that rely on quality materials testing and clear, consistent results. As a Geotechnical Engineering Technician, you will play an important part in supporting project teams and helping deliver the testing services our clients count on.

Responsibilities
  • Perform construction materials testing of soil, concrete, and other materials.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; BS in Civil Engineering or Geology preferred, but not required
  • ACI certification strongly preferred; Other certifications like NICET, ICC and TxDOT a plus
  • Experience with concrete and soils testing
  • Own a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver's license
  • US citizen or permanent resident (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
  • Overtime and weekend work WILL BE REQUIRED
