Full Time Position/ Salary range $25-27 per hour, depending on years of experience

We are currently seeking an experienced fire alarm technician to join our team!

Position overview: Responsible for installation, programming, testing, and inspecting of fire alarm systems in compliance with fire codes.

Key Responsibilities:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Run and terminate fire alarm wiring

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Installation of fire control panels, detectors, pull stations, notification and ancillary equipment.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Documentation of installation and equipment used.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Conduct acceptance testing on new installations

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Train building owners on system operation

Required Qualifications:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  High school diploma or equivalent

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  2-5 yrs experience with fire alarm systems

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Good communication skills

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Valid Driverโ€™s License/Clean driving record

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Clean Pre-employment Background Check

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Clean Pre-employment Drug Test

Technical Skills:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to read shop drawings

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Basic electronics: parallel and series circuits

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Basic computer skills for programming

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of power tools

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Understanding of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems

Physical Requirements:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to lift 50 lbs.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Comfortable working on ladders up to 12+ feet

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces and mechanical rooms

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Capable of standing, kneeling and bending for extended periods

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Manual dexterity for terminating wires and small components.
