Job description

GPI is seeking a Construction Inspector (NICET III) in our Albany Branch. In this role, the individual will perform NICET III duties for the Replacement of the Livingston Avenue Railroad Bridge over the Hudson River.

Responsibilities:

  • The Construction Quality Assurance Services to be performed by the NICET III ensure that the contractor's work conforms to the provisions of the contract documents.
  • Provide Construction Quality Assurance for a Design-Build Project.
  • Construction Quality Control will be the responsibility of the Design-Builder.
  • Services to be performed in a QA capacity include the following:
    • Detailed inspection, on-site field testing of materials & other construction activities as necessary, including data collection necessary to audit monthly, & Final estimates and progress reports.
    • Verification of the As-built Plans. All records shall be kept in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Record Keeping (MURK), including SiteManager and EBO.
    • QA services will include spot checking the Design-Builder's CI firm for conformance with the Contract documents.

Qualifications:

  • NICET III Certification Required
  • ACI Concrete Testing, NETTC Soils and Aggregate Testing, and OSHA 10 Certifications required.
  • Proficient with MURK, SiteManager, and EBO.
  • Experience with NYSDOT Construction Inspection.
  • Design-Build Experience with NYSDOT, preferred.
  • 100% On-site work.
