Job Description

The EPM Technology Solution Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the endtoend Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) technology architecture. This role bridges finance, IT, and data domains to ensure scalable, secure, and businessaligned EPM solutions across planning, forecasting, close, consolidation, reporting, and analytics

The architect acts as the technical authority for EPM platforms (e.g., Oracle EPM Cloud) and ensures integration with upstream and downstream enterprise systems.

Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Define and own the multi-year EPM technology roadmap aligned with enterprise finance and business strategy.
  • Serve as strategic advisor to CFO, Finance Leadership, and Technology Executives on EPM capabilities and investment decisions.
  • Shape operating models for Planning, Forecasting, Close, and Performance Management enabled by EPM platforms.
Enterprise Architecture & Governance
  • Establish and govern enterprise-wide EPM architecture standards, principles, and reference architectures.
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, security, and auditability across all EPM modules and regions.
  • Chair or represent EPM architecture in enterprise design councils and governance forums.
Platform & Integration Oversight
  • Provide executive oversight for Oracle EPM Cloud platform strategy including Planning, FCCS, PCMCS, TRCS, EDM, and Narrative Reporting.
  • Own integration strategy across Finance systems, data platforms, and source systems using OIC, APIs, and automation frameworks.
  • Drive simplification, reuse, and standardization of integration and data management patterns.
Data, Risk & Control Accountability
  • Ensure EPM solutions meet SOX, audit, regulatory, and security requirements.
  • Sponsor strong data governance, metadata management, and lineage across Finance systems.
  • Partner with Risk, Controls, and Internal Audit to enable transparent and compliant Finance processes.
Program Leadership & Delivery Assurance
  • Provide architectural leadership across large-scale finance transformation and EPM programs.
  • Set expectations and quality bars for implementation partners and system integrators.
  • Serve as executive escalation point for critical architectural, data, and delivery risks.
People, Vendor & Ecosystem Leadership
  • Mentor and develop EPM architects and senior technical leaders.
  • Manage strategic relationships with Oracle and system integrators.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation adoption where it delivers measurable business value.
Success Measures
  • Clear, scalable, and future-ready EPM architecture aligned to finance strategy.
  • High executive confidence in forecasting, reporting, and decision support.
  • Reduced complexity, technical debt, and dependency on bespoke solutions.
  • Strong governance, control posture, and upgrade readiness.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 9 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in finance technology, EPM platforms, or enterprise architecture roles.
  • Proven experience translating complex business planning requirements into scalable application designs, including dimensionality, metadata strategy, calculation logic, forms, business rules, security, workflows, integrations, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EPM design patterns, leading practices, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience developing future-state planning roadmaps, including phased implementation strategies and platform modernization plans.
  • Experience with AI, predictive planning, or advanced analytics in the planning and forecasting process.
  • Prior consulting, systems integrator, or professional services experience in implementing Oracle EPM

U.S. Applicants Only

The estimated salary range for this positionis $180,000 to $320,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
