Job description

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and respect for privacy while working with customers applying for the Scheels VISA

  • Accurately process VISA applications, complete registration procedures, and address customer questions with in-depth knowledge about the VISA program

  • Coordinate and deliver training for new and existing VISA Specialists, Cashiers, and Sales Associates

  • Maintain and restock VISA materials, including signage, folders, information pamphlets, etc.

  • Promotes the Scheels VISA Program with signage throughout the store and encourages participation in the program to the Sales and Cashier team

  • Organize and execute Card member Appreciation Days or other special promotions at a high level according to standards set by the bank as well as Scheels Corporate Office

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment 

  • Demonstrates strong communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Presents information clearly to associates and responds to questions or feedback from customers, team members, and leadership

  • Ability to meet expectations and requirements for the Visa Program set by First National Bank, VISA, and Scheels. This includes keeping accurate daily logs, calculating monthly goals, tracking store performance, and coordinating visa program compliance for associates
  • Schedule will include a combination of shifts during the hours of 8am – 9pm Monday through Saturday, 10am – 6pm on Sundays

  • Schedule will include varied hours; days, evenings, weekends, and holidays 

Compensation:  Compensation for this position starts at $21.00 per hour.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate’s degree from a 2-year college or technical school, or 1-2 years of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work.

Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates.  Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Schedule:
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of three weekends a month. Average hours per week is 40 hours.  Typical schedule includes a set day off during the week, 2 set nights to close during the week and every other weekend rotation.
