Job description

Company Overview:

Strive Pharmacy is a personalized compounding pharmacy built on a simple conviction: medicine should fit the patient, not the other way around. We started Strive because we believed the pharmaceutical industry was overdue for a more human approach—one that prioritizes individualized care, clinical nuance, and genuine partnership with patients and providers.

Compounding gives us the tools to do that. Every formulation we prepare is built to the specific needs of a specific person, and every interaction we have is guided by that same commitment to personalized care.

We're growing, and we're looking for people who share that conviction. If you're ready to be part of a pharmacy that takes the work seriously and the people even more seriously, we'd like to meet you.

Mission:

Strive exists to disrupt an industry long overdue for a more personal approach to care. We put the human element at the center of everything: every formulation, every patient interaction, every provider partnership. We're not just a compounding pharmacy. We're a team on a mission to change what personalized healthcare looks and feels like.

Position Overview:

The Sales Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, coaching and continuously improving training programs that strengthen the knowledge, skills, confidence, and performance of Strive Pharmacy's sales organization.

This role supports new-hire onboarding, ongoing sales development, product and service education, sales methodology, objection handling, systems training, compliance education, and leadership development for sales professionals. The Sales Trainer works closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Enablement, Marketing, Pharmacy, Compliance, Operations, and Learning and Development to ensure training reflects current business priorities, market needs, regulatory expectations, and Strive's value proposition.

Success in this position requires strong facilitation skills, program management ability, practical sales experience, instructional design capability, and data driven focus and the ability to translate complex healthcare and pharmacy information into clear, actionable learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deliver, and maintain sales training programs aligned with Strive Pharmacy's commercial strategy and organizational goals.
  • Lead new-hire sales onboarding, including company orientation, product knowledge, systems training, sales processes, customer engagement expectations, and role-specific skill development.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning experiences for sales employees and leaders.
  • Train sales professionals on prospecting, discovery, consultative selling, value-based selling, objection handling, negotiation, closing, account growth, and relationship management.
  • Develop training related to Strive's services, formulations, customer segments, provider partnerships, operational capabilities, and competitive differentiators.
  • Partner with Pharmacy, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and Operations to ensure training materials are accurate, current, compliant, and operationally realistic.
  • Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, playbooks, role-play exercises, assessments, certifications, presentations, videos, and other learning resources.
  • Conduct live coaching, call reviews, role plays, simulations, and skill-practice sessions to reinforce learning and improve sales execution.
  • Evaluate sales calls, meetings, presentations, and recorded interactions to identify coaching opportunities and performance trends.
  • Provide individual and group coaching to improve sales effectiveness, communication, product knowledge, and execution.
  • Establish and manage sales readiness standards, certification requirements, and knowledge assessments.
  • Measure training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessment results, behavior change, sales performance, conversion metrics, ramp time, and other defined outcomes.
  • Use performance data and business feedback to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training interventions.
  • Maintain an annual and quarterly sales training calendar aligned with product launches, business priorities, onboarding needs, and sales initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify high-priority development needs across teams, territories, roles, and performance levels.
  • Support frontline sales leaders in developing effective coaching, feedback, and performance-management practices.
  • Train employees on the effective use of HubSpot, sales tools, reporting systems, communication platforms, and approved sales resources.
  • Reinforce consistent use of sales processes, qualification criteria, pipeline expectations, documentation standards, and customer relationship management practices.
  • Maintain current training records, completion data, assessment results, certification status, and required documentation.
  • Support the rollout of new products, services, messaging, systems, workflows, and commercial initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive practices, sales methodologies, and adult-learning strategies to continuously improve training programs.
  • Ensure sales training reflects applicable healthcare, pharmacy, privacy, marketing, and compliance requirements.
  • Reinforce approved messaging and prevent unsupported clinical, operational, legal, or service commitments during the sales process.
  • Protect confidential company, customer, provider, patient, pricing, and business information.
  • Perform other duties and sales enablement projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, communications, healthcare administration, organizational development, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least four years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, learning and development, sales leadership, or a related role.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility with sales professionals, leaders, subject-matter experts, and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiency with presentation software, learning-management systems, virtual meeting platforms, and standard business applications.
