Job description


The Virtual Sitter is responsible for the visual and auditory camera monitoring of appropriate patients' and reporting changes or unsafe behaviors to the medical staff. Incumbents should have excellent analytical and technical skills, detail oriented, as well as adaptability to change based on evidence-based practice. The patient monitoring team functions under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
Observing patients and notifying clinical staff of any adverse events
Proper utilization of verbal interventions and stat alarms for patients
Reporting adverse events and interventions through virtual sitter system software
Performs accurate monitoring of patients related to selected procedures
Report equipment repairs in a timely manner
Assisting with the training of new staff in medical monitoring systems
Maintains knowledge of technological advances
Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff
May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any tim
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience: None
Required Certification & Licensures None
Preferred Experience 1 year experience as a virtual sitter
Salary Range 16.22-23.52/hourly
