Job description


The Department of at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a Open Rank to provide clinical simulation and bioksills expertise for USF Health CAMLS. This indidivual wil provide leadership to USF Health CAMLS in oversight of the virtual patient care center and the surgical interventional and training center including the management and oversight over simulation operations specialists and clinical simulation manager. The individual will provide expertise in the educational and operational principles of manikin and simulated patient simulation as well as bioskills simulation including cadaver-based training. The Director will also have experience in high education and oversee the new concentration of simulation-operations in the COPH Health Sciences Major including course instruction.
Responsibilities
Successfully complete program requirements of ACGME institutional and residency/fellowship. Direct supervision of residents.
Timely completion of all training courses required by hospital including a Code of Conduct course and coding courses.
Responsible (with authority) for all aspects of the CT Program to include call panel privileges, treatment protocols and guidelines, service policies, education community outreach, hospital executive interface, and performance improvement; promotes multidisciplinary approach to care.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate/Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
