Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a supportive special education team as a skilled Sign Language Interpreter  in Gages Lake, IL for the 2026–2027 school year. Let’s get connected!

Requirements

  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (no exceptions)

  • Strong fluency in American Sign Language and English

  • Experience in educational interpreting preferred

  • Must provide verified EIPA score documentation

  • Must specify preference for K–8 or 9–12 assignment

  • References available upon request

Job Details

Full Time: 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $42/hour

High School Position (Grades 9–12)

  • Term: August 10th, 2026 – May 20th, 2027

  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Caseload: 12 students total (1–3 students per class interpreting support)

Elementary/Middle School Positions (K–8)

  • Term: August 17th, 2026 – May 28th, 2027

  • Schedule: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM

  • Caseload: 30 students total (1–5 students per class interpreting support)
