About Us
We are a fast-growing late stage startup located in San Jose, CA. Our company has developed a breakthrough technology to custom design and manufacture 3D graphene and other carbon materials. Graphene has the promise to transform many industries as this carbon-based material is over 100 times stronger than steel, flexible, transparent, a great thermal conductor and the most conductive material that we know exists. The list of possible applications for Lyten 3D graphene is expansive including game-changing batteries, composite systems, and chemical amp; passive sensors.
Our leadership team is seasoned in leading startups from an early stage to multi-billion-dollar companies. Our development teams have extensive experience in successfully launching products from conception to production. As validation that we are on the forefront of this coming transformation, we have acquired multiple revenue producing commercial and government contracts and recently closed a large round of funding and have opened a new production facility in San Jose to scale our production and accelerate our growth in key product development areas. ​
The ideal candidate is able to perform annual security program training and develop effective vulnerability management processes for hybrid cloud infrastructure. Additionally, they will be tasked with establishing a virtual Security Operations Center (SOC) for on-premise and cloud infrastructure, as well as monitoring the corporate environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Implement security infrastructure in support of Lyten security polices to reduce IT security risks to the company based on the latest threats, laws, amp; regulations
  • Program manage initiatives to improve company security posture, protecting company assets, reducing security risks, and meeting customer security requirements while balancing expenses and worker productivity
  • Work closely with and provide technical expertise to compliance, business units and supporting departments in the implementation certification, and maintenance of compliance standards (E.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC, CC, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, SOX, GDPR, etc.)
  • Perform risk assessments and providing mitigation options in solutions, projects, policy exceptions, etc.
  • Conduct annual security assessment/audit
  • Lead security awareness training efforts
  • Establish key performance indicators and metrics for the vulnerability management, incident response, security awareness training, and other security processes
  • Lead incident response and forensic activities
  • Monitor computer networks for security issues.
  • Investigate and mitigate cybersecurity and other security incidents.
  • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
  • Document security incidents and assess severity or potential damages caused.
  • Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
  • Perform penetration testing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in information security or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with Incident Response Investigations
  • 2+ years using or managing a SIEM
  • Deep understanding/experience of Windows and Linux Events
  • Deep understanding/experience of securing operating systems
  • Deep understanding network security principles, including firewall configurations, network traffic analysis and vulnerability scanning
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
  • Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
  • Strong and clear communication skills with the ability to interact with a professional group of executives, team members, and managers
  • CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GCWN, GMON, GCUX, GCDA Certifications are preferred
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework familiarity is also preferred
