  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Technology/Engineering. 
  • An MBA, or CFA, strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years' of progressive finance and/or technology experience Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP/Head-level or equivalent)

  • Experience working in a public company and controls environment
  • Background in transformation programs (AI, Cloud, or large scale modernization), preferred

    • Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plan for the global IT function. 
    • Partner with CIO and IT leadership to align spend with strategic priorities. 
    • Analyze run-rate, project, labor, infrastructure, software, and vendor costs. 
    • Provide variance analysis and actionable insights on IT operating and capital expenditures.|
       
  • Business Partnership with CIO & IT Leadership 
     
    • Serve as the primary finance partner to the CIO and senior IT leaders. 
    • Translate technology initiatives into financial impacts, risks, and return expectations. 
    • Support prioritization of projects based on business value, affordability, and strategic alignment. 
    • Provide decision support for trade-offs across technology investments.
       
  • Cloud Financial Management & Digital Economics
     
    • Lead FinOps and cloud financial strategy, including cost optimization and transparency 
    • Evaluate CapEx vs OpEx trade-offs and financial impacts of technology investments 
    • Drive scalable, cost-efficient cloud economics aligned with enterprise capital allocation priorities 
    • Deliver actionable insights on cloud spend, unit economics, and ROI
       
  • Technology Investment Governance / Portfolio Management
     
    • Review and challenge business cases for major IT initiatives, digital transformation, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and system implementations.
    • Refine and implement financial governance best practices around project funding, benefits tracking, and post-implementation reviews. 
    • Monitor project financial performance, including budget-to-actuals and expected ROI. 
    • Ensure disciplined capital allocation across the technology portfolio.
       
  • IT Cost Management & Optimization 
     
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize IT cost structure.
    • Evaluate and recommend approach - Build vs. Buy vs. Outsource.
    • Evaluate spend across applications, software licenses, infrastructure, cloud, telecom, contractors, and managed services. 
    • Support benchmarking and cost transparency initiatives. 
    • Drive accountability for spend management and productivity improvements across IT.
       
  • Capital Expenditure & Accounting Alignment 
     
    • Oversee financial treatment of IT investments, including capitalization of software development and implementation costs where applicable. 
    • Partner with controllership and accounting teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

  • Vendor / Contract Financial Oversight
     
    • Provide financial support for major IT vendor negotiations, renewals, and contract reviews.

    • Monitor commitments, savings realization, and budget impacts from third-party agreements.
       
  • Reporting, KPI Development & Executive Communication
     
    • Lead and present monthly and quarterly IT financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
    • Optimize dashboards and KPIs focused on spend, project delivery, capital usage, productivity, and value realization. 
    • Summarize financial risks, opportunities, and key decisions in an executive-ready manner. 
    • Support board and audit committee level technology finance reporting as needed.
       
  • Process Improvement / Transformation Support
     
    • Improve IT finance processes, tools, governance, and reporting discipline.
