AV CommissioningEngineer - Greater Los Angeles (Virtual/Remote)

Our client, a leading provider in audiovisual systems and solutions based Greater Los Angeles region, is seeking anAV CommissioningEngineer.The Commissioning Engineer will test and configure AV components in new build conference rooms, and engage in end-user training for Enterprise Clientsin theLA/Orange County market.Candidates must be located in the region, andbe willing to travel to customer sites within the assigned territory.
Local candidates within 50 mile radius of Greater Los Angeles are preferred.

This positioninvolves technical installation and troubleshootingof audiovisual components. Crestron DMC-E-4k certification and/or AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS or CTS-I)is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Load and Debug CodefromCrestron Toolbox
  • Program and load DSP files that handle Audio Echo Cancellation, such as Biamp, Tesira, Clearone
  • TestCrestron Control Panel and train end user customers on functions
  • install, troubleshootand configure the following audiovisual/videoconferencing equipment, microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards
  • Interpret system drawings for technical tasks
  • Conduct crimp, solder, and fiber cable terminations
  • Evaluate and ensure all installations maintain best practice and our client's standards
  • Analyze and resolve all technical escalations
  • Test and install the following mounted equipment
    • Wall mounted monitors
    • Ceiling mounted projectors
    • Projection screens
    • Speakers
    • Wall mounted AV connection plates
  • Additional duties will be integrated with existing responsibilities over time

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience with relevant field implementation
  • Must be comfortable with audiovisual cables, routers, and connectors
  • Knowledge of Crestron, Biamp, Extron,& Cisco equipment REQUIRED
  • Certifications from Crestron, Biamp, Infocomm, and/or OSHA strongly preferred
  • Comp TIA Security + Certification Desired
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to function both independently and within a team
