We are currently recruiting to add an experienced projects manager to our Wholesale Electrical Lighting Projects team in Sacramento, CA. This role is responsible for handling our customer's needs from beginning to end. This includes walk-in requests, taking incoming calls, emails, and faxes for quote requests and sales orders. Managing all sizes of Lighting Projects from start to finish and working with outside sales representatives and other departments to insure customer satisfaction. Lighting Sales is responsible for product knowledge, understanding current CA Energy Efficiency Standards, old & new technologies, and upcoming products from Lighting MFG's. Additional duties include researching customer problems, following up on orders and quotes, and managing any RGA inventory they are responsible for, as well as attending product classes and online courses with our vendors.

  • Field incoming project quote requests, identifying all MFG reps involved, and send requests to reps in a timely manner.
  • Once quotes from reps are received, must enter all information into CAHILL or JM software program to turn around to customer.
  • Must be cognizant of all necessary components required to complete the requested bill of material.
  • Must review quote for accuracy and completeness prior to sending to customer.
  • Enters order in systems for will-call, company truck delivery or direct delivery from vendor. Get pricing and availability for non-stock material to fill customer needs, track customer orders to insure timely delivery, call customer when order is ready for pickup.
  • When running a project, works closely with customer’s project managers and MFG factories to provide detailed order status throughout the length of the project.
  • Research customer problems and questions pertaining to form and function of material.
  • Perform purchasing duties to fill customer’s orders for both stock and non-stock material.
  • Works with Outside Sales to insure customer satisfaction and promote future business.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalence of five years’ experience:

Ability to read and interpret documents and writes Language Skills routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers/vendors or other employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Eclipse software, Outlook and vendor websites.
