This position is fully remote, providing flexibility in your work schedule while enabling you to connect with clients in various environments. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to accurately assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being.
  • Document all interactions from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment, utilizing electronic health records effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailored to their unique needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Continuously monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate interventions and ensure holistic care.
  • Assist with referrals and follow-up procedures for clients requiring additional support, such as inpatient treatment or specialized resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to help them manage mental health challenges within their households.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Inner Calm Counseling Center, you will primarily work with diverse adults and adolescents dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. You will play a vital role in helping clients navigate their personal struggles, develop coping strategies, and cultivate resilience through our evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • Successful completion of the NCE and/or the NCMHCE, demonstrating your competency in mental health counseling.
  • Ability to navigate and document using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to enhance client management.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably within telehealth or online counseling.
  • Expertise in managing clients with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
  • Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their effects, allowing for informed discussions with clients and other healthcare providers.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills that foster client trust and rapport.
Compensation and Benefits
