Position Summary
The Patient Care Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality training that prepares new and existing Patient Experience employees to provide exceptional service and support to patients. This role facilitates instructor-led and virtual training programs, reinforces operational knowledge and skills, evaluates learner performance, and partners closely with Operations to ensure employees are confident and successful in their roles.
The ideal candidate is an experienced facilitator who enjoys helping others learn, adapts quickly to change, and creates an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate engaging instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs for new hires and existing team members.
  • Foster a positive, interactive learning environment that encourages a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
  • Monitor learner progress through quizzes, assessments, observations, and practical exercises.
  • Provide timely, constructive coaching and feedback to support learner development.
  • Maintain expertise in workflows, patient care processes, products, systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned training programs by proactively identifying needs, resolving challenges, and following through on commitments without requiring frequent direction.
  • Seek opportunities to improve training effectiveness, learner experience, and operational readiness through continuous feedback and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance, assessments, and learner progress documentation.
Qualifications
Required
  • 2+ years of experience in training, facilitation, coaching, or adult learning.
  • Experience working in healthcare, pharmacy, customer service, contact center, or a related environment.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Preferred
  • Experience training in a healthcare, pharmacy, or patient support environment.
  • Experience facilitating virtual instructor-led training.
Work Environment
Location: Hybrid.
Schedule: Full-time.
May require additional availability or flexibility for escalations.
Regular meetings with teams, departments, or leadership to ensure alignment.

  • Must be able to work onsite for a hybrid schedule or as needed by management.
  • Must be able to sit or remain at a workstation for extended periods of time.
