Position Overview
St. Bridget School is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered
Middle School Math Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will foster a love of mathematics while creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment that meets the needs of a diverse group of learners. A unique feature of this position is the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated Math Paraeducator, collaborating to provide differentiated instruction, targeted interventions, enrichment opportunities, and individualized support that enables all students to succeed.
Responsibilities
Teach middle school mathematics courses in alignment with school and diocesan curriculum standards.
Create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.
Collaborate daily with the Math Paraeducator to plan and implement instructional strategies that support diverse learning needs.
Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all learners, including students requiring additional support and those seeking enrichment.
Utilize data and assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
Foster a classroom culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and high expectations.
Communicate effectively with students, families, faculty, and administration.
Integrate Catholic values and teachings into classroom life and interactions.
Participate fully in the life of the school community, including faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Connecticut teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of middle school mathematics content and best instructional practices.
Experience working with diverse learners and implementing differentiated instruction.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
Ability to create positive relationships with staff, students and families.
Preferred Qualifications
