Description:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patients' discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Utilizes personal protective equipment as required.
Must be able to work up to six weekend shifts in a six-week schedule period.
Holiday requirements will be based on departmental needs.
This department serves adult patients and has telemetry capability.
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6.
The unit is supported by PCTs and a healthcare unit coordinator.
Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs for telemetry patients.
NIH certification is required.
