• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive assessments to gauge client needs and establish rapport.
• Develop and implement personalized intervention plans that address the individual, familial, and couple dynamics within your practice.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques, to facilitate healing and growth.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client progress, therapeutic interactions, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide crisis management interventions and develop relapse prevention strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstance.
• Engage in regular supervision, peer consultations, and team meetings to enhance therapeutic skills and share effective practices among colleagues.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse and varying client population, addressing psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and grief. We cater to individuals, families, and couples, providing them with the support needed to build resiliency and improve mental wellness. Your expertise will play a vital role in fostering a safe environment where clients feel understood and empowered to work through their challenges.

• Possession of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is essential.
• Must hold an active Virginia license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
• Strong ability to address complex client needs, demonstrating a clear understanding of therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively engage with clients from various backgrounds.

• At least two years of post-graduate experience in providing mental health counseling.
• Experience working within telehealth settings and adapting clinical practices to a virtual medium.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.
