Description

GAI's Community Solutions Group seeks a Landscape Design Intern in its Charleston, WV office. This position will collaborate with our integrated Landscape Architecture and Urban Design studios. We work with a wide variety of public, private and institutional clients to build vibrant and sustainable community places. This internship opportunity is in Charleston but is eligible for some hybrid work. The internship is anticipated to last anywhere from 3 to 9 months depending on the candidate's educational syllabus and course requirements. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Job Duties:

  • Planning and conceptual designs using freehand and digital renderings via SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and AutoCAD;
  • Conducting site design, inventory and analysis;
  • Attending and participating in public meetings, community outreach and client meetings for a variety of project types
  • Assisting with the completion of construction documents using AutoCAD and participating in construction field / inspection reviews;
  • Assisting with reports, project graphics and presentation documents using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Contributing across a broad range of project types within a collaborative team environment.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have completed at least 2.5 years of Landscape Architecture undergraduate education or be enrolled in a master's degree within an accredited University Landscape Architecture program.

Experience
2 years: 2 years of Landscape Architecture undergraduate education or be enrolled in a master's degree within an accredited University Landscape Architecture program. (required)
