Virtual IOP Therapist – Eating Disorder Treatment Center
Texas License Required – Multi-State License a Plus
Location: Weatherford, TX 76086 (Remote/Virtual)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Virtual IOP Therapist to join our team supporting our Eating Disorder Treatment Center in Weatherford, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience providing trauma-focused therapy within an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting, along with a strong understanding of eating disorders and co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. This role requires an engaging virtual presence to effectively connect with and support clients remotely.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma-focused therapeutic services to clients participating in the virtual IOP program, including those in eating disorder recovery and with co-occurring mental health or substance use conditions.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, including diagnostic impressions and risk assessments, to inform treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR, in compliance with organizational, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and provide clinical information needed for utilization review (UR), including justification of medical necessity and continued stay to insurance providers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (nursing, medical, dietary, and case management) to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Engage clients through a professional and empathetic virtual presence to foster trust and therapeutic rapport.
  • Monitor client progress and safety, adjusting treatment approaches as clinically necessary.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Texas required. Multi-state licenses a plus!
  • Experience working in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or similar higher level of care setting preferred.
  • Strong background in trauma-focused therapy approaches.
  • Experience treating eating disorders and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with utilization review processes and documentation requirements for medical necessity.
  • Proficient with EHR systems and telehealth technology, and comfortable delivering therapy virtually.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging virtual presence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards.
