A Virtual Hospital Patient Sitter remotely monitors patients via video and audio technology to ensure their safety and well-being. They observe high-risk patients, such as those prone to falls or disorientation, and alert on-site medical staff if intervention is needed. This role helps prevent accidents and improves patient care by providing continuous supervision. To excel as a Virtual Hospital Patient Sitter, you need strong observational skills, attention to detail, and basic healthcare knowledge, often alongside a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with secure video conferencing platforms, electronic charting systems, and hospital communication tools is often required.
