Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Virtual Payments Specialist to support small business clients (up to $2.5MM in annual revenue) through virtual engagement and collaboration with our branch network. This role is responsible for identifying payment solution opportunities, expanding Business Essentials relationships, and serving as a trusted resource for branch-referred clients.
The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering client needs, and delivering consultative payment solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Should be located within a commutable distance to Tempe, AZ office location
Client Engagement & Sales
  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing small business clients to identify payment and business solution opportunities.
  • Provide consultative recommendations based on customer needs and business goals.
  • Respond to inbound calls and branch referrals with timely and professional support.
  • Upsell Business Essentials products and deepen existing customer relationships.
  • Manage objections, follow-up activities, and sales opportunities throughout the client lifecycle.

Branch Partnership
  • Serve as a virtual extension of branch teams by supporting overflow referrals and client outreach.
  • Partner with branch colleagues to deliver a seamless and consistent customer experience.

Sales & Pipeline Management
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and customer records within CRM systems.
  • Meet or exceed sales, activity, and customer experience goals.
  • Share customer insights and feedback to support continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, payments, or financial services-preferably in a virtual or hybrid environment.
  • Strong understanding of small business needs and digital payment solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and handling inbound inquiries in a high-volume setting.
  • Proficient in CRM systems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically two to three years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with businesses under $2.5MM in revenue.
  • Background in merchant services, business banking, or fintech.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Location Expectations
This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with an expectation of 3 or more days per week in office and flexibility to work remotely on remaining days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $63,990.00 - 78,210.00
