Job description

Join our Commissary team as an Assembly Line Worker and play a key role in preparing fresh, high-quality meals in our Bushwick, Brooklyn kitchen.
The Role
This is a fast-paced, team-oriented position at the heart of our daily production. You'll work on the assembly line preparing and packaging menu items with consistency, care, and attention to detail to ensure every product meets Proper Food standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and package food items accurately and efficiently according to recipes and production standards
  • Maintain consistency in portioning, labeling, and presentation
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality guidelines at all times
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift
  • Assist with basic prep tasks as needed
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations
Schedule
  • Five days a week, Sunday - Tuesday from 12pm-8:30pm; Wednesday-Thursday open availability required.

We cook all our meals from scratch each morning in our commissary kitchen and deliver them to our stores pre-packed and ready to go. At the end of each day, all unsold meals are donated to local food banks.
  • Comfortable with physical work, lifting, pulling, carrying 50+ lbs, and climbing ladders
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and stay active throughout the shift
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow a daily task list
  • Able to read, write, and do basic math
  • Available consistently to be on time for early morning shifts in Bushwick, Brooklyn
  • English/Spanish preferred but not required
  • High School education preferred; will need basic reading and arithmetic skills and understanding
  • Will be exposed to various environmental conditions such as cold due to refrigeration or heat due to hot surfaces
