Job description


Responsibilities:
  • Work under general supervision of the Director of Engineering.
  • Prepare specifications for purchased components and (sub) systems.
  • Prepare design proposals for new equipment and modifications to current designs.
  • Work with drafters, designers and other engineers, as assigned, to lead or participate in team efforts.
  • Assist production with support in resolving problems arising in the shop during the manufacturing process.
  • Accomplish all assigned tasks within the constraints of customer requirements, cost effectiveness and Texas Oil Tools design standards.
  • Prepare engineering design documentation and procedures for engineering processes, equipment operation and performance testing.
  • Maintain liaison with individuals and units within or outside the organization acting on technical matters pertaining to the field.
  • Follow all applicable department, company and corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • Working knowledge of Coiled Tubing Pressure Control Equipment.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of one year experience in the design and development of oil and gas service equipment and/or pressure control equipment preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks or comparable CAD system.
  • Working knowledge of standard manufacturing processes and practices.
