Job Description

We are looking to fill a position for Citrix admin in Sacramento CA.

  • As a key member of an IT Project, configures, implements, installs, tests, automates, upgrades, maintains and repairs software applications; identifies and resolves problems with software using established processes, procedures and methods; coordinates with vendors to resolve complex desktop hardware/software issues; recommends compatible desktop hardware/software products; prepares desktop hardware/software system specifications; and provides technical expertise for desktop hardware/software problem resolution.
  • Provides prompt technical solutions and support on desktop computer hardware and software issues; provides technical consultation to business units to minimize downtime; utilizes diagnostic tools; coordinates desktop problem resolution activities between users, technical support staff and/or vendors; and documents problems and fixes.
  • Conducts on-the-job training for Technology Operations support staff and users as required.
  • Assists in Project planning, reviewing and conducting work activities for project and day to day activities
  • Performs related duties as required during Project implementation.


Qualifications

Education:

BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university majoring in Computer Technology, Data/Telecommunications, MIS, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.

Technical Requirements

  • Desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office including Outlook, standard web browsers, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Adobe Products, Symantec/Altiris products, CITRIX
  • Experience including executing work in a Direct CITRIX Administration Role, work virus products and high level concepts of VPN/RAS connections.
  • Ability to write various scripting languages as necessary but not limited to but including Vbscript, Powershell and SQL.

License or Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization
