Customer Service Representative

Chicago, IL & West Palm Beach, FL Full-time

As a Customer Service Representative at Helix Logistics, your daily responsibilities will center on the customer service facet of our operations. You will collaborate closely with account managers and the carrier sales team to facilitate the successful movement of freight.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for all customer communications, which involves sharing shipment details between companies and departments, addressing and resolving any issues, and building strong relationships with all customer contacts.

Responsibilities

Build and nurture strong connections with all customer contacts.

Communicate with shippers and receivers to schedule appointments and clarify requirements.

Collaborate with account managers and the carrier sales team to ensure proper shipment service.

Address and resolve any issues directly with the relevant parties.

Handle both internal and external requests promptly and effectively.

Document current standard operating procedures.

Develop and maintain a knowledge base of best practices in logistics.

Qualifications

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues both independently and collaboratively.

Confidence in decision-making and effective communication abilities.

Capability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
