Part-Time Bookkeeper
Knoxville, TN | Part-Time | Flexible Schedule
We're partnering with a growing Knoxville-area company that is looking for a reliable and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper (20 hours/week) to help keep the day-to-day financials running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking for a flexible schedule.
In this role, you'll be responsible for handling a variety of bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. You'll work closely with company leadership to ensure financial information is up-to-date and organized.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Preparing invoices and following up on customer payments when needed
  • Assisting with monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
  • Processing vendor payments and maintaining vendor records
  • Supporting payroll and related recordkeeping
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting activities
  • Working with the company's CPA or accounting partners as needed
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably 3+ years
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
